M2 Revolution will be the first in the city to use the most advanced state of the art indoor bikes. The CycleOps Pro 300PT Indoor cycle allows its rider to observe work output as measured in watts.  Each bike is equipped with a powertap which indicates the riders power output.  An illuminated electronic console shows the rider 3 key variables a rider needs to focus on for effective training - power output, heart rate, and cadence.  Imagine, you can now compare your wattage in an indoor cycling class to the riders you read about in the Tour.

Updated 3/14/08: 2 Saturday classes March 15 at 8:30 and 10 am

Welcome to M2 Revolution, San Francisco’s premiere indoor cycling facility. Centrally located at 1440 Bush Street, between Van Ness and Polk, visitors will find easy street parking and an inexpensive parking garage a half a block from the front door.

Cyclists and spinning enthusiasts will discover an inviting 3500 square foot workout environment – a beautiful open space with 20 foot ceilings and exposed brick walls complemented by abundant natural light. M2’s perennial Best of the Bay indoor cycling program, enjoyed by hundreds of riders over the years, now has a venue to match its enthusiastic following.

How are classes at M2 Revolution a giant step beyond standard cycling/spinning classes?

Instructor & Program

Your host and primary instructor, Michael McCormack, is a two-time professional Ironman winner, and coach to various top professionals in the sport.

  • For fifteen years, focused and targeted indoor training sessions have been the backbone of Michael’s own competitive training as well as that of his coaching program.  M2 workouts are not random exercise experiences, but instead build systematically in a fun and varied format where riders can see and measure their improvement.
  • With an insightful methodology, indoor cycling training allows an athlete to improve almost indefinitely in sessions that generally last an hour.
  • Michael does not ride the bike getting a workout while “teaching” the class, but instead walks around the room so as to better observe the riders and offer instruction
  • All instructors at the facility will be experienced with M2 workout protocol and will draw from the M2 workout library.

Bikes

Riders at M2 Revolution will enjoy the most sophisticated and comfortable indoor bikes anywhere - first of their kind in San Francisco, first in the U.S. – the CycleOps 300 PT.

  • An electronic console measures key cycling variables - power as measured in watts, cadence, and heart rate.  Riders can target specific workloads and even download their ride data to a nearby PC.
  • The bikes allow for micro adjustment of seat height and fore/aft pos itioning, and the same for the stem.  Standard indoor bikes have push-pin adjustability, meaning 1/2 inch jumps (bad), and limited ability (worse still), if any, to adjust the handlebars relative to the seat.
  • Riders at M2 Revolution can exactly mimic their road or tri bike position.  All riders have complete flexibility in finding a position that is both comfortable and efficient.

Venue

A perfect workout environment - open space, natural light, brick walls, 20 foot ceilings, ventilation, top-notch sound system, all dedicated to folks who are interested in a purposeful workout experience.

  • No sharing space with gym riff-raff flexing biceps as a measure of fitness.
  • New treadmills
  • Vasa swim machines available for guided use and M2 workouts.

Value

  • Top notch instruction
  • The most technologically advanced bikes
  • Ride your exact bike position without the hassle of bringing your bike
  • Attractively priced training options to match your training needs.
