M2 Athletes are Everywhere
M2 Athletes are Everywhere
It might be November, but I continue to receive race reports from all
over the world, quite literally.
Last weekend saw M2ers competing in ITU Worlds in Cancun, Ironman
Florida, and in the Gay Games in Australia. How's that for spanning
the globe?
M2 coached athletes donned racing gear in nearly every IM event in
2002; New Zealand, Australia, Lake Placid, Utah, Canada, Austria,
Roth, France, Florida, Switzerland, and no less than 10 athletes
made the trip to Kona to race Ironman.
The language of EA/PS/ST/etc. is currently spoken in venues as
disparate as Calgary, Australia, South Africa, Vermont, New Mexico,
Hong Kong, Iowa, Michigan, England, along with another dozen or so
states.
Look for exciting new race uniforms and training gear to help reveal
yourselves in 2003 racing and training events.
Super Gina Fights to an 11th Place Overall
Gina Kehr battled high seas, record humidity, and a stacked female
professional field to finish 11th place overall in Hawaii.
While Gina had hoped to improve upon her previous year's 8th place,
she fought hard throughout and can take some very deserved
satisfaction in being able to lay claim to having led the entire
female race field. A very strong swim, a quick transition (she has
to teach me these)and Gina was the first female to ride through town.
Needless to say I was very proud and less than bashful in cheering on
'my girl' as she rode by! Fantastic stuff.
