m2 Raceth at Ironman Japan

Well, let's see if the 3rd time is the charm in my return to IM racing.

Having trained very consistently over the past 5 months, I am looking forward
to giving IM another go. IMC 2002 & IMW 2003 after a 4 year lay-off proved
to be a little trickier than memory from earlier events had served me. In my reports
on those races I basically summed up that IM distance will expose and magnify any
shortcoming in your training, particularly if you are out there pushing the pace.

With that lesson, my training has been properly oriented, and all indications are
that m2 in 2004 is a stronger model, if not wiser. For those m2 grasshoppers
familiar with m2 training lingo, my training has been the following:
Run
TBT I
TBT II
Enhanced Base
Build 201 + Stamina I-II
Endurance runs on wild trails of Tam, gradually morphing over to the roads.

Bike
Base II
EA I-B
EA II-B
Basic Strength
EA Ergo
EA See-Saw
EA Power (this will be new for many of you)
EA LT+ (also a new training module)
Endurance rides a little less than normal; longest is 5.5hr

Strength
Bike/Run specific Phase I>II>III>Maximum Strength
